Nature, Beaches and the Jet Set

Porto Cervo is the main tourist attraction in Gallura. In recent years, Porto Cervo has become a mecca to the Italian and international jet set.

The area around Porto Cervo, called Monti di Mola, is the perfect mix between the beauties of the land, exclusive establishments, the shopping scene and the nightlife.

Porto Cervo (Deer Port), developed around the Porto Vecchio (Old Port) that has effectively the shape of a deer, hence the name of the famous town.
. In the 80s the New Tourist Marina was built. It is one of the most equipped in all the Mediterranean.

 

You can take a walk in the sunset in the elegant Marina of Porto Cervo, eat an ice cream in the famousCentral Square overlooking the Port, or shop in the town’s exclusive boutiques, surrounded by a unique view and evocative atmosphere.

The centre of Porto Cervo is characterised by very small streets, while further outwards there are villas, clubs and restaurants where the real centre of the local social life is.

The first man to see the area’s touristic potential wasPrince Aga Khan, and in 1962 he established the Costa Smeralda thus giving fame and prestige to this little town.

 

You can visit the famous Chiesa di Stella Marischurch, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Coast.

 

Porto Cervo is the perfect starting point to discover the natural beauties of the area. A few minutes by car will take you to the famous fine white sandy beaches like: Pevero, Liscia Ruia, Cala di Volpe, Capriccioli, Romazzino and Baja Sardinia. They are all characterised by a thick Mediterranean maquis and uncontaminated nature. Most beaches are equipped with beach bed and umbrella rentals, restoration points and car parks.
